Last week was a killer one for shows around town, including one of our own: the first in our new free, weekly curated series, Tuesday nights at brand new downtown restaurant and venue Acme Feed & Seed. You can catch up on what went down at that show, and scope out everything else we covered last week, including some exciting announcements, releases, reviews, and more, below:

  • NEWS: Nashville Outlines announced its initial lineup for August 22 at The Stone Fox!
  • NEWS: Scottish soul singer Paolo Nutini announced a fall Nashville date at Marathon Music Works.

  • SHOW: Singer-songwriter Grace Askew performed at Soulshine Pizza Factory.
  • SHOW: Local bands Mateja, Good Buddy, Andrew Lowry and Wabash performed at The End.
  • SHOW: We Are The Finale, ForeverandNever, Blameshift and Fit for Rivals played 12th and Porter.
  • SHOW: Irish group Altan took over 3rd and Lindsley.
  • SHOW: Sara Bareilles performed at The Woods at Fontanel with Hannah Georgas and Lucius.
  • SHOW: Blues supergroup Hard Working Americans performed at new venue Acme Feed & Seed.
  • SHOW: Hip-Hop legends Jurassic 5 took over Marathon Music Works with Dilated Peoples, Beat Junkies and MC Supernatural.
  • SHOW: Heyrocco performed at Springwater Supper Club with Bad Cop and Triathalon.
  • RELEASE: Foxygen dropped a new single, “How Can You Really,” and announced a fall date at Exit/In!
  • RELEASE: Guitar idol J. Mascis released a new single, “Wide Awake,” featuring Cat Power, ahead of his fall show at Exit/In.
  • VIDEO: Surf rockers Sexx released new video for “Surf City” ahead of a show at The Pour House.
  • VIDEO: The Lees of Memory dropped a video for their track “We Are Siamese.”
  • VIDEO: The Grayces premiered a new video for their single “Lord and Gods of Alcohol.”
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Get Pixelated
