Music and video games can be a pretty epic pairing when done right (and not like this). Remember that time we got you addicted to that Skrillex game (that was awesome and you’re welcome). Being big fans of all things throwback here in the Diversion realm, we couldn’t resist this super fun 8bit rendering of some of grunge’s biggest hits.

Mark this mid-way to the weekend moment as decidedly nostalgic because pals, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and more have gone all NES on your ass… leaving you no choice but to grab your old school controller (you recall that Contra code, we know it) and remember your roots because things are going to get pretty pixelated after the jump!
