With what felt like half of the city’s music scene at SXSW, it was a relatively quiet week in Nashville. Still, we managed to bring you the scoop on a few great shows, announcements, and reviews, and kept the excitement rolling with even more ticket giveaways! In case you missed anything (or you spent the week in Austin), here’s a recap of everything we covered last week on the site:

  • PODCAST: We premiered the second episode of the No Country For New Nashville Podcast, featuring JT Daly of Paper Route.
  • NEWS: The lineup for this year’s third and final Road to Bonnaroo competition was announced!
  • NEWS: Lana Del Rey announced her first Nashville show ever at The Ryman.
  • NEWS: Sister Sparrow combined with Space Capone for a show this week at Mercy Lounge and The High Watt!
  • NEWS: The Kills announced a May 30 show at Cannery Ballroom.
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: We brought you a SXSW weekend edition of our must-see show picks for Nashville.
  • REVIEW: We watched Daniel Ellsworth and The Great Lakes take over the Exit/In with Alanna Royale and Blank Range (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We caught Noah Gunderson at Mercy Lounge with Armon Jay and David Ramirez (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: The Wood Brothers performed at 3rd and Lindsley with Brigitte DeMeyer, and we checked it out (w/ PHOTOS)!

  • SHOW: Small Black, Oberhofer and TEEN performed at 12th and Porter.
  • VIDEO: Thelma & The Sleaze dropped a new music video for “High Class Woman.”
  • VIDEO: Omega Swan premiered a live video for their track “Devil’s Roar.”
  • CONTEST: Band of Skulls are coming to Cannery Ballroom May 6th with SACCO, and we’re giving away tickets!
  • CONTEST: We’re giving away tickets to The Dandy Warhols with The Warlocks May 5 at Mercy Lounge!
