Road To Bonnaroo_2014

It’s that time of year again. The time when bands lobby, beg, and plead for your vote to send them to Bonnaroo. The wildly successful (and fun) 8 off 8th variation of Battle of the Bands, Road to Bonnaroo, has taken on a bit of a new look this year, with ten (instead of eight) artists in each of the three monthly competitions, split across two stages (Mercy Lounge & The High Watt) for three song sets. The judging has remained the same as previous years, however, with the votes split between media and industry professionals and YOU, the fans!

The first two events packed the house with fans looking for next bright stars in Nashville.  Blank Range took home the crown in the first event, and El El won the second event.  In a democratic fashion, the Road To Bonnaroo run of show is finalized minutes before the event by drawing names out of a hat.  Most bands are vying for the biggest crowds that are around during the middle of the show, but it is probably the first time in the history of the event that two bands have won out of the last time slot.

We’ll see if that trend holds true during the third and final event of 2014.  The final 10 bands have been announced, and we have a media run down of all of them below to get you acquainted.  Here’s who you’ll be judging for this time: All Them Witches, Buffalo Rodeo, Guthrie Brown & The Family Tree, Bully, Frances & The Foundation, Grass Root Kids, Little Bandit, Von Grey, Plastic Visions & Sol Cat. Check below to have a listen and start finding a favorite now.

So, mark your calendar now for April 7, and make sure you get there early because this FREE event tends to hit capacity. Don’t worry, we (and ten of your favorite new bands) will remind you plenty between now and then!
