2014 is shaping up to be a busy year for Nashville resident rockstar Jack White. The former White Stripe has announced, in a recent fan chat session on the Third Man Records message board, that “I’m producing two albums this month, and finishing them. One of them is mine.”
While many are assuming that White is referring to a followup to his 2012 solo debut, Blunderbuss, the vagueness of his statement leaves the details a bit ambiguous. While Jack is certainly confirmed to be working on new solo material, the album in question could be for his band The Raconteurs (also confirmed to be recording), or even The White Stripes (yeah, probably not) or some new project entirely (he does love starting new projects). What we do know, however, is that it’s not White’s other other band, The Dead Weather, since their new album plan for 2015 is already in place.
What are you guess? Are you ready for some new Jack White in the near future?
