As we’ve been telling you for a few weeks now, rising rockers The Delta Saints, hip-hop inspired alt-rockers The Lonely Biscuits, and surf-pop rockers *repeat repeat are billed for one hell of a New Years Eve party in Nashville. Top this off with an all night dance fest from stand out Nashville producer Wick-It The Instigator and funk maestro Don Jenver never letting you rest between sets, and you have an unstoppable party at Marathon Music Works. Tickets still remain for $25, which would be a deal for any show of this caliber, but it is an absolute steal for New Years Eve. Read below to get in the mood, and we’ll see you tonight!
THE DELTA SAINTS
Originally formed in 2008, The Delta Saints have simply sought to perfect their sound and build their fan base. It is a goal of most bands, but a goal that The Delta Saints have excelled in. They honed the rock n’ roll building blocks of legends past in their most recent release, Bones, which really sees the bourbon basted rockers fully dialed in, as fans across the country and beyond have learned with their heavy touring schedule, including us at Live On The Green this past fall.
THE LONELY BISCUITS
It’s been a wild ride for local rockers, The Lonely Biscuits. We first introduced you to them in early 2013 leading up to their win of the MTV Woodie Award, and that success launched them into some heavy touring including festival stops at the likes of Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Hangout Fest, & more. They have released a handful of EPs to date, and are reportedly planning on a full length release in early 2016. Here’s to hoping we get some new jams as great as the first track to catch our attention, “Casual Vibes,” during their New Year’s Eve set. Now, you just have to stay sober enough to remember it.
*REPEAT REPEAT
Regular readers of this site will know the name *repeat repeat and their high energy brand of danceable surf-tinged pop. Their debut LP, Bad Latitude, captured their live energy perfectly, and, based on the first glimpses of their soon to be released follow up, Floral Canyon, the trio is continuing their easily digestible brand of rock with a bit more of an edge. Have a listen to the new single “Mostly” below to get a taste of what’s to come.
WICK-IT THE INSTIGATOR
In a city that sometimes struggles with it’s EDM scene, Wick-it The Instigator is a clear exception. His multi-genre production has taken this DJ into the national realm, landing him spots at major festivals, and making him a force amongst the online beat fanatics. Whether it is his original productions, mashups, or remixes, Wick-it will keep this party going late into the night.
The Marathon Music Works New Years Eve Celebration includes The Delta Saints, The Lonely Biscuits, *repeat repeat, Wick-It The Instigator, and Don Jenver. The show is 18+, begins at 9 p.m. (doors at 8 p.m.), and tickets are available to purchase for $20.
