We’re officially halfway though summer, but the music’s not slowing down. Last week, show announcements kept pouring in, as did new releases, and we continued our brand new free weekly showcase at Acme Feed & Seed with a stellar performance from Diamond Carter. This week promises to be just as busy, but, first, in case you missed anything, here’s a recap of everything we covered last week on the site:

  • NEWS: John Butler Trio announced a fall show at The Ryman.
  • NEWS: Rock legends O.A.R announced a show at Marathon Music Works on Nov. 7.
  • NEWS: Devil Makes Three announced a Halloween show at Marathon Music Works!
  • NEWS: Dubstep artist Skrillex announced two back to back shows at War Memorial Auditorium! 
  • NEWS: Just when you thought War On Drugs’ upcoming show couldn’t get any better, they added Peter Matthew Bauer (formerly of The Walkmen) as the opening act.
  • NEWS: STS9 announced a show on Halloween at War Memorial Auditorium!
  • NEWS: Andrew McMahon announced a fall show at 3rd and Lindsley.
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: Our staff highlighted the weekend’s must see shows!
  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: Bear in Campsite and Jordan Hull were announced to perform at our Aug. 12 Acme Feed & Seed showcase.
  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: Diamond Carter performed our new free Tuesday night showcase at Acme Feed & Seed.
  • REVIEW: We gave you a recap of Diamond Carter‘s performance at Acme Feed & Seed for our weekly Tuesday night showcase (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We saw Save/Quit, The Dirty Nil, I’m An Island and Skoolgirl at The East Room.
  • REVIEW: We stopped by the Mercy Lounge to catch Funky Meters with DJ Kidsmeal and DeRobert & The Half Truths (w/PHOTOS). 
  • REVIEW: We went to Marathon Music Works to check out Passenger with The Once and Stu Larsen (w/PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We caught local rockers ForeverandNever at 12th and Porter with We Are The Finale, Blameshift and Fit For Rivals.
  • REVIEW: The 2014 season of Nashville Dancin’ came to an end with Hard Working Americans, Turbo Fruits, Modoc and The London Souls and we were there to check it out (w/PHOTOS).
  • SHOW: Left & Right played fooBAR ahead of their upcoming Infinity Cat cassette release.
  • SHOW: We brought you a music guide to this year’s installment of  Tomato Art Fest.
  • SHOW: Miley Cyrus performed at Bridgestone Arena with Lily Allen.
  • SHOW: Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Susan Werner, David Olney and Michaela Anne performed at Music City Roots!
  • VIDEO: *repeatrepeat dropped a new lyric video for “Chemical Reaction” and performed a free show at The High Watt!
  • VIDEO: Chelsea Lankes debuted a music video for her new single “Secret”.
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Word Up
  • CONTEST: We’re giving away a pair of tickets to this year’s Muddy Roots Music Festival in Cookeville, TN!
