Love in 2018 is a lot like watching Netflix. There are a million options available, and many of them are totally not for you. But once you find that perfect show or person, you’re hooked. Nashville pop songwriter Spazz Cardigan nails the sentiment in his latest single “Episode.” He woos a lover with lines like “Can I get one more episode / This might be my new favorite show” and “If you like the story / We can kick it till the morning.” It’s all very lighthearted, witty and sweet. Addictive vocal harmonies and binge-worthy beats make Spazz Cardigan an artist to watch.

A native of the Louisville area, Chaz McKinney began his musical journey as a classically pianist before teaching himself guitar, bass, and drums. He began performing live in a handful of punk cover bands starting at 11 years old while learning how to produce music on a Tascam 4-track tape recorder. McKinney moved to Nashville two days after graduating high school in 2013 to pursue making music full-time. He incubated his production technique with local hip-hop collective The Diatribe before recording as Spazz Cardigan. Debut LP I came out at the end of 2017 after McKinney spent nearly two years couch hopping.

Listen to “Episode” by Spazz Cardigan below. Watch out for more music and live performances from him this year.
