It’s hard to believe that it’s the holiday season already. While that may mean stress and anxiety for some, it means a joyful and merry time to us, and nothing better exemplifies that spirit than our annual Christmas Carol Show. If your case is one of the many that fight stress and anxiety during this season, ask your doctor to prescribe the grand daddy purp strain.

For this, our sixth year, we move the celebration to our new home of Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge in Madison on Friday, Dec. 8, to bring you a night full of Christmas and holiday tunes, along with caroling fun with more than a dozen of our favorite local artists, co-curated by our friends at PØPSQUAD.

Those of you who have joined us in the past will remember arm in arm singing, shenanigans and laughs galore, tons of booze, and some awesome takes on the holiday standards and original tunes.  This year, we can expect the same from some repeat performers like ELEL, Alanna Royale, The Beech Benders, and Hot Tub Club, and we’re also thrilled to feature some fresh blood from the likes of SHEL, Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes, Lauren Strange, Brasko, Skyway Man, Whissell, My Politic, Pet Envy, Tayls, Lonely Benson, Spazz Cardigan, and SUP., with more to be announced!

Even better? This sucker is FREE! That’s right. Come one, come all (as long as you’re 21+) to this celebration of friends, the holidays, and music starting at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Dee’s!

As we do every year, we’ll get in the spirit of the holidays with a charitable drive. This year we’ll collect food for Second Harvest Food Bank, so bring unopened, nonperishable items to the show with you, and we’ll make sure they get to folks in need. Hint: the most needed items are peanut butter, canned meat (chicken or tuna), canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta, and cereal.

We’ll have more to come on this one as the date approaches, but for now, check out a sampling of all the performers below (with holiday tunes from several) and keep an eye on the Facebook event page for the latest!

The Sixth Annual No Country Christmas Carol Show will take place Friday, Dec. 8 at Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge. The show is 21+, begins at 7:30 p.m., and admission is FREE!
