Nashville indie pop project Kaptan is back with their first single of 2016, “Jump.” The track bounces with lively timbales, a sweet bass groove, and Andrew de Torres’ uplifting falsetto. The single follows up 2015’s Sprinter EP, which racked up millions of streams on Spotify.

“My bass player (Brandon Day) and I wrote ‘Jump’ together,” de Torres says. “We really just wanted to write a song about supporting the people that we love who may be going through their own obstacles, a song about togetherness, which has been kind of an ongoing theme for the bands’ music.”

Listen to “Jump” and embrace the positivity.
