Bully Covers Belle & Sebastian’s “Get Me Away From Here I’m Dying”

Bully2015-620

You would think that Bully would be busy hyping the recent release of their stellar debut full length, Feels Like, which is already popping up on a number of Best Of 2015 (so far) lists.  While the LP just dropped on June 23rd, Bully didn’t waste any time in getting some new music out to their burgeoning fan base with their cover of the Belle & Sebastian hit “Get Me Away From Here I’m Dying” from their 1996 album If You’re Feeling Sinister.

As would be expected, powerhouse front woman Alicia Bognanno tears through the cover with far more power than Stuart Murdoch’s original arrangement, and it certainly shows her range to stretch out of the new wave grunge that she seems to be leading these days.  Check out Bully’s version below, and, if you haven’t already, read back to our Bonnaroo coverage where B & S were a highlight for a number of our staff.
