NeotericNashville2013

If Summerdaze didn’t satiate your appetite for indie rock this past weekend, you’ll have another chance to fill yourself up this coming Saturday at Neoteric Nashville 2013.  We already gave you the scoop on the incredible lineup back in March, and, though some changes have been made since then, you can bet your britches that the lineup remains the most solid collection of local indie rock talent that you’ll find anywhere in Nashville this upcoming weekend. This whopper of a shindig is set to feature no less than 7 hours of music courtesy of the following bands:

7:30PM-8:00PM – The Daily Howl
8:15PM-8:45PM – Bear Cub
9:00PM-9:30PM – Grass Root Kids
9:45PM-10:15PM – Forget Cassettes
10:30PM-11:15PM – The Get Togethers
11:30PM-12:15AM – Kansas Bible Company
12:30AM-1:10AM – Johnny Velvet & The Scares
1:25AM-2:30AM – Binaural Beat

The above artists represent a pretty wide spectrum of flavors, ranging from garage-rock revival (The Daily Howl), “aggressive folk” (Bear Cub), atmospheric folk-rock (Grass Root Kids), alt-rock bordering on noise-rock (Forget Cassettes), and the brassy, groovy, big-band rock of the always busy Kansas Bible Company. Oh, speaking of KBC, if you haven’t played the incredible 8-bit game based on their song “Jesus and the Horse Thief” yet (we told you about it previously), go do that before reading any further. As for the rest of the lineup, you can get an idea of what to expect from our sample playlist below. If you like what you hear (you will), you can cruise on over here to buy tickets. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door, doors are at 7, and the show starts at 7:30.

If you can’t make it on Saturday, be sure to head over to the FREE 8 off 8th “Warmup to Neo Nash” TONIGHT at 8pm, also at Mercy Lounge, featuring The Oak Creek Band, The Highland Reunion, Earnest Ernest, Melon and The Mayhem, The Young International, Frances & The Foundation, Kink Ador, and Static Revival.

BUT WAIT! BEFORE YOU BUY….
