Happy July! We’re officially halfway through the year, and nearly halfway through the summer. It’s been an incredible summer for music, and, with so many exciting announcements lately, it’s shaping up to be an even better fall!

Between Live on the Green, the next East Nashville Underground, this week’s Neoteric Nashville, Forecastle Festival right up the road, and so many other exciting shows and events coming up, we can’t wait to bring you even more great coverage the back half of the year. In case you missed anything on the site last week, between your rainy Fourth of July festivities, here’s the rundown on everything we covered:

  • NEWS: Live on the Green announced their 2013 schedule.
  • NEWS: Despite the weather, Nashville’s Fourth of July celebration continued on mostly as planned.
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: We highlighted our picks for the best weekend shows and events around town.
  • INTERVIEW: We sat down for a brief Q&A with Matt Pond.
  • REVIEW: We checked out *repeat repeat‘s performance at The High Watt.
  • SHOW: SUMMERDAZE took place at Exit/In and The End, and we gave away tickets! We also brought artist recaps for both the Exit/In and The End stages.
  • SHOW: Matt Pond performed at The High Watt with Matrimony and Radar Vs Wolf, and we gave away tickets.
  • SHOW: Concord America performed in Nashville, while Plastic Visions performed in Bowling Green.
  • SHOW: The New Lows performed at The Owl Farm with Trophy Scars, Warmachine, The Commonwealth of American Natives, and Pig Party.
  • SHOW: Koji, Turnover, Ivy League, Courtesy Drop, and Free Throw performed at The Owl Farm.
  • SHOW: Brett Dennen, Kyle Andrews, Alanna Royle, and John & Jacob performed at Tin Roof.
  • SHOW: Relient K, The Rocketboys, and Mike Mains and the Branches performed at Rocketown.
  • VIDEO: Nashville’s Carla Cappa premiered her lyric video for “Don’t Call Me Again.”
  • VIDEO: Kink Ador released their new music video, Sunshine.”
  • STREAM: Nashville’s John McCauley and Jonny Fritz composed the soundtrack for Oyxana, and it’s streaming for free.
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Independence Rocks
