Hailing from Chicago, Knuckle Puck combine elements of emo and pop punk to forge a sound that has helped them become a buzzy fixture in the scene over the past few years, adopting a more indie and ambitious bent than many of their peers. Part of the pop punk’s organic, much-need course correction, which has seen a talented crop of substantive, emo-derived acts pop up in recent years, Knuckle Puck’s debut LP, Copacetic, arrived in 2015, and helped bolster their ever-increasing mainstream presence and nab them positive press, high-profile tours, and critical recognition in the punk world. With brand new followup, Shapeshifter, the group manage to hone their sound and funnel their time on the road and in various side projects to craft their best, most cohesive work to date, and, in celebration, they return to Nashville tonight, Oct. 30 for a headlining performance at Rocketown‘s White Building, with likeminded acts Movements, With Confidence, and Homesafe set to support. Tickets are available here, and if you’re a fan of earnest, expansive pop punk, indie punk, and emo, you won’t want to miss it.
Knuckle Puck, Movements, With Confidence, and Homesafe will perform tonight, Oct. 30 at Rocketown’s White Building. The show is all ages, begins at 7 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.), and tickets are available to purchase for $20.
