Formed at the end of the ’90s in western Massachusetts, seminal hardcore outfit Killswitch Engage became one of the most essential and popular heavy bands of the 2000s, thanks to efforts like breakout 2004 third LP The End of Heartache and followup As Daylight Dies. Forging a distinct fusion of New England hardcore with Nordic death metal, along with the melodic, metalcore sensibilities of the 2000s hardcore scene, Killswitch have always been more eclectic than many of their peers, and are a key influence on tons of younger bands in the 2010s. A formidable live force (thanks, in some part, to a lineup that has largely stayed intact for over 20 years), have toured the globe many times over and have performed with pretty much every who’s who band of the metal and hardcore scene, cementing their reputation as one of the most iconic metalcore bands of the 21st century.
With nine albums to their name in 25 years, KsE’s latest, This Consequence, arrived just weeks ago, and marks their longest gap between releases to date, following up 2019’s Atonement with a triumphant, propulsive, and modern new work. Out in support, the rockers will return to Nashville for the first time in just as long, March 5 at brand new downtown venue The Pinnacle. Heavy music fans will be thrilled by the supporting lineup of Kublai Khan TX, Fit for a King, and Frozen Soul, and tickets are still available right here while they last! However, we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan; preview the lineup and enter below.
