Fresh off a tour with Diet Cig, and gearing up to release their debut full-length, Deep Dream, May 19 via Infinity Cat, local grunge pop trio Daddy Issues have treated us to yet another brand new single, “Locked Out.”

Following biting ode to terrible exes “In Your Head,” and the more serious reflection on the realities of the trauma and impact of sexual abuse and assault, “I’m Not,” Daddy Issues’ latest, which feels like more of a callback to their first release, Can We Still Hang, is about blacking out, losing your keys, and the fleeting nature of summer flings- all told with the group’s signature ability to lace lightheartedness with anxious, earnest, and self-depricating alternating with empowering lyrics, set to breezy, engrossing melodies.

No local dates are currently on the docket, but we’d be shocked not to see a release show materialize soon. For now, hear “Locked Out,” and pre-order Deep Dream while you count down the days until its release!
