Although your social media feeds are full of ads for flannel shirts and people complaining about how fall weather needs to hurry the hell up, saying goodbye to summer is never easy. Multimedia and genre-hopping project Gay Vibes crafted the perfect farewell note with new single “W E M E L T.”

Gay Vibes, stylized as G▲Y ▼IBES, is fronted by local writer, composer, and filmmaker Seth Graves, and “W E M E L T” features vocals from Leticia Wolf of alt-rock troupe The Dead Deads. The synthwave production and Wolf’s blithe vocals make for a hell of a late night driving soundtrack under the yellow lights of the I-440 loop. Graves says the single is “A woozy, post-summer requiem for the summer fling that could’ve been.”
