Vinyl Thief Debut “Healing” Ahead of New EP

Over the past year or so, local electro-infused indie popsters Vinyl Thief have been slowly dropping new material, like “Longer” and “Bad Decisions,” all leading up the highly-anticipated followup to their breakout 2014 LP, Fathoms. That release, an EP called Touch, will finally arrive July 8, and, in anticipation, the band have just debuted another new track, the soulful, sparse, and hypnotic “Healing.”

With their latest material, the buzzworthy local group, who we’ve been keeping an eye on since virtually day one, have drifted further from their more rock-rooted earlier work, exploring minimalism, r&b-tinged falsetto, bass-heavy production, and more personal and reflective lyricism, all tied together with more polish and lush production. Needless to say, Touch is one of our most anticipated releases of the year,  and we encourage you to drop what you’re doing and listen “Healing” right now!
