A buzzy and integral part of the Nashville rock community, The Wans have been on our radar pretty much since day one. Their debut full-length, He Said, She Said, was, without a doubt, one of our favorite Nashville releases of 2014, and the band have impressed us time and time again with their fantastic stage show, honing their skills with countless tour dates in recent years, and maturing in both sound and approach along the way.

For their followup, the trio recruited producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Dead Weather), and recorded completely live and analog, crafting a sound that blends ’60s fuzz and proto-punk attitude with ’90s alternative and grunge, all funneled into something wholly contemporary and accessible. The new record is called Run Baby Run, and will arrive May 6. Today, we’re incredibly excited to bring you an exclusive premiere of the title track! If this tune is any indication, you’re in for the best batch of Wans songs over, more reflective of the their frenetic live show than anything else released to date. Hear “Run Baby Run” below, pre-order the album here, and, if you happen to be in Austin, check out a list of spots you can see the band at SXSW (don’t worry, we’re sure they’ll announce a hometown show soon)!
