As winter finally seems to have settled in, we’re already starting to long for summer, with more major festival announcements arriving nearly every single day. One biggie is still yet to drop, however: Bonnaroo. Counting down the days until the lineup for the nearby fest arrives, we’ve been working our way through this season’s Roo Clues, and keeping you up to date on the latest with our Bonnaroo lineup rumors post.

Beyond just festival news, last week brought some great releases and exclusive premieres, music and comedy show announcements, new contests, videos, and more! Get caught up on everything we covered last week below.

  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: The Vegabonds, Alicia Michilli, and Mateja | Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Acme Feed & Seed
  • NEWS: Delata Spirit’s Matthew Logan Vasquez announced a May 12 show at Mercy Lounge ahead of his new album.
  • NEWS: Muddy Roots unveiled its 2016 lineup, featuring The Melvins, Bonnie Prince Billy, Soledad Brothers, and many more!
  • NEWS: Kevin Smith, Maria Bamford, Trevor Noah, and more were announced to perform at the third annual Wild West Comedy Festival.
  • NEWS: Cult comedian David Cross announced a Feb. 26 show at TPAC, as part of his first tour in six years.
  • NEWS: Citizen and Turnover announced an April 5 show at Exit/In with Sorority Noise and Milk Teeth.
  • NEWS: Chancellor Warhol teased a snippet of a new single, and revealed plans for his upcoming album.
  • NEWS: Future was the first artist announced to perform this year’s Rites of Spring festival at Vanderbilt.

  • VIDEO: Local rockers Cage the Elephant stopped by The Tonight Show to perform their new single “Mess Around.”
  • VIDEO: Tim Easton debuted a live video for new track “Beat the Band” as part of his 100 Songs in 100 Days project.
