[PREMIERE] Young Brother Captures The Sad Side Of The Holidays With “On This Christmas Night”

Young Brother On This Christmas Night

Young Brother’s 2015 releases recall Justin Timberlake, with fantastic falsettos and beats with serious groove. For the original holiday track “On This Christmas Night,” Young Brother strips things down for a lo-fi and heartbreaking letter to family no longer with us.

The holiday season is a complicated time of year, with an abundance of cheerful messages and celebrations that come alongside reminders of seasons past. With acoustic guitar and gentle voice, Young Brother nails the ache of missing family who have passed away.

Young Brother songwriter Dalton Diehl says, “I had a moment on a Tuesday, just missing some family members I’ve lost, and the holidays are always a reminder. So I wanted to write and record the song before the week ended. My production partner and I recorded it in my living room and finished it up on a Friday.”

Take a few minutes out of your day and listen to the quietly powerful song below.
