After an amicable split from blog endorsed local band Ranch Ghost, Brett Dudash has been hard at work in the studio with a new collective of psychedelic, western flavored friends. The project has been dubbed Lasso Spells, and after an early listen to their debut LP, Stuck In A Shape, we can assure you it is well worth your time. The record is set for an early 2016 release, but don’t worry friends, because we are happy to help them premiere their brand spanking new music video for the first single (and the first song on LP) “Nu”. The video was shot just north of the city in Whites Creek, leading up to the blood moon eclipse in late September, by a film maker from Austin, TX, named Logan Gilmore.
Also worthy of note, they’ll be playing on a kick ass bill at The 5 Spot this Thursday (Dec. 10), with Dean Jackson and local mainstays JP5 headlining. Tickets are just $5 at the door, so be there, but first check out Lasso Spell’s debut music video after the jump, and stay tuned to No Country for more info on their album release.
