PilgrimageFest2015-620

Because the Festival Gods will not be content until every single warm weekend of the year can be spent watching a wide array of bands performing in giant fields, yet another new festival has entered the fray for 2015, and, just like the multitude of other drivable options, it looks pretty fantastic. Save for the inaugural downtown Iron N Ink Fest this summer, new Franklin outing the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival now holds the distinction as being the closest major (non-country) music fest to Nashville proper. Boasting an eclectic lineup which features Willie Nelson, The Decemberists, Weezer, and tons more, Pilgrimage will also host one-of-a-kind artist paintings, regional artisans and vendors, local food and beverage, and all of the other standard amenities you’d expect for an all-encompsing festival experience. Aiming to showcase the wonderful scenery of Franklin in the fall, the event will go down Sept. 26-27 at the city-owned Park at Harlinsdale Farm, and tickets are available now beginning at $169. Check out the initial lineup below, and keep an eye out for artist additions throughout May and June!
