Local musician A.C. Thompson quietly released a gem of an album back in September. I’m Alive features the darkness of Leonard Cohen amist 60’s tropical pop arrangements. The collection features a glimpse into Thompson’s life as a psychiatric hospital employee. An undercurrent of pain runs throughout the release, but it’s balanced out by optimistic instrumentation and several glimmers of hope. No live dates are on the books at the moment, but give I’m Alive a listen below.
