Bonnaroo Artist | Kansas Bible Company
Bonnaroo History | Newbie
Stage & Time | TBD
Just like last year and the year before, we’re making it our mission to help you get acquainted with as many bands as we can from Bonnaroo‘s impressive 2014 lineup. In addition to main stage acts, we also want to be sure to give the Club Stage bands some love, so, for the next month or so, we’re adding a second daily spotlight. They might be the smallest artists on Bonnaroo’s bill, but the Club Stage bands are some of the best and most exciting up and coming acts around. As with our main stage previews, we’ll start from the bottom and work our way up. Keep reading for your Bonnaroo Club Stage Band of the Day…
LEARN
We’ve written at length about local eclectic big band jammers Kansas Bible Company, including their recent Road to Bonnaroo win, which earned them a spot at the fest! We couldn’t be more excited to see these guys earn a chance to show the world the new breed of musicians that are growing and thriving in Music City. If you’ve never seen the 12 man ensemble perform live, it really is pretty bad ass. We’ve watched these kids grow from upstart phenoms to local stalwarts to bona fide scene standouts. Their defining horn section, psychedelic guitar riffs, and rock ’n’ roll vocals are mystifying.
Originally from Goshen, Indiana, the band moved to Nashville to pursue their dreams in music, and dropped their debut Ad Astra Per Aspera upon us, but it was their release of Hotel Chicamauga that really took Nashville by storm. They describe themselves as a “wrecking ball of sound” and there is little doubt you, as well as Bonnaroo, will agree after checking out the tracks below.
