Honey Locust Drops New Single – Releasing February Full-Length

Honey Locust

Local chamber folkster Honey Locust just dropped off (it’s actually been buried in an email inbox for a few days) single, “Blue Rooms” from their upcoming full-length, The Great Southern Brood which releases in February.  We feel partly responsible for this album coming out after we told you about their Kickstarter campaign last spring, and you (68 of you specifically) funded that campaign to make this album a reality.

“Blue Rooms” carries the listener from the tender piano tinged melodies at the start before building steam to a full on festival-dancing-reminder-that-summer-is-around-the-corner kind of jam that will have most any fan of the Avetts, Mumfords, Edward Sharpe, or the like tapping their toes.  You can have a listen to “Blue Rooms” below, and we’ll definitely keep you in the loop on any upcoming release shows around town.
