We told you about this show when it was announced a few weeks ago, and there’s no shortage of excitement about it on our end. Cat Power’s most recent release Sun was featured on our list of top 10 records of 2012. And, based on the number of entries in our recent contest, a lot of you are stoked to see this show already.
We have been super fans of Chan Marshall (Cat Power’s given name) for years now, and we can’t wait for you to join us at this show! She will be joined by superstar drummer Nico Turner, so this is an event you don’t want to miss! As far as details go, doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show is set to get crackin’ at 8:00 p.m. If you don’t have your tickets yet, you can snag some at the door for $28.

As we’ve told you before, Cat Power (also known as Chan Marshall) rules. We have been long-awaiting the announcement of a Nashville date in support of her latest album Sun and that day has finally arrived! The fact that 3rd & Lindsley is such an intimate venue just makes this show even more awesome and definitely something to be stoked about. NICO TURNER
Killer drummer Nico Turner, who toured with Cat Power last year, will fill in as supporting opener for Chan this year. We aren’t sure what to expect from Nico, but we know that we’ll be in for a treat. Check out her cover of Nirvana’s “Something In The Way” below and get stoked to see her perform tonight!
