Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone enjoyed their three-day weekend! We’re already well into the new week, but still wanted to bring you a recap of last week’s coverage, in case you missed anything.

Below, take a lot at the many, many fantastic shows we previewed, a few reviews and photo sets, and some exciting news:

  • NEWS: Plastic Visions canceled a festival appearance, following the departure of their bassist.
  • NEWS: Jack White-fronted The Dead Weather entered the studio to work on new music.
  • NEWS: Butch Walker announced that he would screen his documentary, Out of Focus, ahead of his Nashville performance.
  • NEWS: Paramore announced a sponsored, four-day cruise to the Bahamas called “Parahoy!”
  • NEWS: Sol Cat announced a new EP, Welcome to Cowabunga.
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: We highlighted our picks for the best weekend shows and events around town.
  • REVIEW: We reflected on the epic summer session (and final in its current form) of East Nashville Underground.
  • REVIEW: We checked out a private rehearsal for Cage the Elephant‘s new album, Melaphobia (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We caught Live on the Green with Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Delta Saints, and Luella and the Sun (w/ PHOTOS).
  • SHOW: Fancytramp announced a local house show, on the heels of some brand new tunes.
  • SHOW: The epic four stage, 16 band Block Buster took place along Demonbreun, and we gave away tickets.
  • SHOW: Bobby Bare Jr. performed at The 5 Spot while James Wallace & the Naked Light, Clear Plastic Masks, Maritime Orchestra, and Banditos performed at The Basement.
  • SHOW: Live on the Green continued with Robert Randolph & The Family Band, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and Joe Robinson.
  • SHOW: We gave you the scoop on Them Vibes, ahead of their show at The Basement.
  • SHOW: Mercy Lounge hosted an extra special Back to School 8 Off 8th with Vinyl Thief, The Get Togethers, and more!
  • STREAM: Nine Inch Nails made their new album, Hesitation Marks, available for early streaming. They’ll hit Bridgestone Arena to perform this fall.
  • STREAM: Local indie pop act Pang made their new EP, Follow Your Dreams, available for streaming.
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Snack Time
