School’s back in session, the summer’s winding down, and fall tour announcements are piling up left and right. In the coming weeks, we’ll be bringing you coverage on some fests at the local level, running more exciting contests, looking back at some of our favorite summer shows, and gearing up for a ton of fall coverage.

In case you missed anything last week on the site, here’s a full recap:

  • NEWS: Voting for the Nashville’s Scene’s Best of Nashville poll is open; we posted our individual staff picks.
  • NEWS: Local drummer Miles McPherson (Paramore, Kelly Clarkson) was badly injured in a golf cart accident.
  • NEWS: twenty | one | pilots announced a fall show at Cannery Ballroom.
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: We highlighted our picks for the best weekend shows and events around town.
  • REVIEW: We recapped the second Live on the Green, with Matt Nathanson, The Mowgli’s, and Erin McCarley, as well as the after-party with Five Knives (w/ PHOTOS).
  • SHOW: Tesla Rossa released a new track, “Vacation,” and play a show at The High Watt for its 7″ release.
  • SHOW: Live on the Green continued with Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Delta Saints, and Luella & the Sun, and we gave away tickets to the after-party with Chancellor Warhol.
  • SHOW: Elise Davis, Hailey Witters, and Stephanie Lambring performed at Mercy Lounge, and we gave away tickets.
  • RELEASE: Rayland Baxter released a brand new EP, a live performance video, and funny behind the scenes mini-doc.
  • VIDEO: Tegan and Sara joined Taylor Swift for a surprise guest performance in LA; both artists are set to perform next month in Nashville.
  • VIDEO: A video of Brittany Howard covering The Rolling Stones at Bonnaroo with Jim James surfaced online.
  • VIDEO: Carla Cappa released a video for her new single “My Heart Is Beating Again.”
  • VIDEO: Vinyl Thief debuted a new crowd-sourced, Instagram-shot video for “Faces.”
  • VIDEO: Five Knives premiered their new video for “Vive Le Roi.”
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Slo-Mo Jo
  • CONTEST: We’re giving away tickets to this weekend’s Muddy Roots Festival!
