Nashville, by way of Providence Rhode Island, rockers Deer Tick just released a new single from their upcoming album “Negativity” (out September 24th on Partisan Records). “The Rock” is the first single released from the boozy punk/rock n’ roll band’s new record, and it serenades to the troubles of frontman John McCauley’s struggles with failed love, broken family, and substance abuse. The subtle intro cries into the proverbial beer only to lift itself up with horns (Grupo Fantasmo) & vocals with Vanessa Carlson. Have a listen to “The Rock” below, and get ready for some new Deer Tick this summer!
