Tonight In Nashville w/ Andrew Bird, Caitlin Rose, Field Report, Ravello, Natalie Prass, & More…

Sometimes this city just boggles my mind. I mean, I’m at shows all the time, but a night like tonight is one of those nights that truly makes me love it here.  I mean, where else can you see early sets from Andrew Bird & Caitlin Rose in-store for free, and then follow that up with sets from Field Report, Ravello, Poly, Natalie Prass, and Sanders Bohlke in-a-house for only $7.  Needless to say, this is worth a full night of music.

If you intend to see either of the first ever sets over at Grimeys Too, I would recommend eating a big lunch, and getting over there early.  Hometown heroine, Caitlin Rose gets things started around 6pm, and we just highlighted the release of her newest record The Stand In.  Things will certainly reach capacity when the guitar looping, whistle master Andrew Bird takes over around 7pm, and rumor has it Tift Merritt will be sitting in on that set.  Both of these shows are free, and I know how you Nashvillian’s like free shit.

It’ll take a bit of graceful timing, and a likely swing through a drive-through, to get down to Brentwood in time to catch the latest Cause A Scene house party with a stellar Thursday night lineup of Field Report, Ravello, Poly, Natalie Prass, & Sanders Bohlke.  We’ve talked about quite a few of these bands, and you can click any of the links above to read more.  Address and details for this $7 show are on this Facebook event page, and remember it is BYOB.

You can check out some media from all of tonight’s performers after the jump.

There sure is, but Freakin’ Weekend is too big to be included in a summary post. Stay tuned, Mr. Lewis.
