Third Man Records Is Hosting A Turkey Drive With Benefits

Friends of the site, global ambassadors of music, and local Samaritans, Third Man Records is hosting a Turkey Drive again this year, at both their Nashville and Detroit storefronts, to help those in need.  Here are the details of how you can help… and be rewarded.

Anytime in the next two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, drop off your donation (see options below) to the Nashville Rescue Mission (616 7th Avenue South, across the street from TMR headquarters, and entry by the American flag) or the Detroit Rescue Mission in the Cass Corridor (150 Stimson Street, Detroit, MI 48201) during regular business hours. Bring your donation receipt to the corresponding Third Man Records storefront and immediately receive 10% off your purchase, a free standard 7″ of your choosing, PLUS be entered to win one of TWO big Thanksgiving Prize Packs (one for each location, detailed below).

One Prize Pack entry will be allotted for each donation of either:

a) One turkey (fresh or frozen), of sizable weight

— or —

b) Three of the following items:

Cranberry Sauce
Green Beans, Corn, Mixed Vegetables (#10 cans please)
Corn Bread Mix
Cheddar Cheese
Dinner Rolls
Dessert Pie
Coffee Creamer

In planning your donation, please be mindful of what you’d like on YOUR Thanksgiving table, and shop accordingly.

Each Thanksgiving Prize Pack includes 3 extremely limited and exclusive items: a Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 White Label Promo, and a special edition Total Chaos Iggy Pop Biography (with a limited edition, very exclusive 7″ included), and a tri-color 7″ to be revealed at a later date. The winners will be chosen by Third Man Records at random on Monday Nov. 28.

For those of you who would like to contribute but don’t live in Michigan or Tennessee, feel free to give to the Nashville Mission directly online using this dedicated link. Your donation of $15 or more will automatically enter you into the Thanksgiving Prize Pack drawing.
