She’ll probably have to tone down her banter a bit for the all-ages audience at the Opry, but playing there is likely fulfilling a lifelong dream for the singer-songwriter. [JSa]

Matt Mahaffey’s project sELF seems to build more and more steam every week. We last caught them deep into Marathon Village’s Blocktoberfest party, commanding a massive crowd with clever and left-field pop tunes. ROADKILL GHOST CHOIR W/ DESERT NOISES

Rockers Roadkill Ghost Choir and Desert Noises will be stopping by 3rd & Lindsley for this week’s Nashville Sunday Night. Roadkill Ghost Choir are touring in support of their debut full-length, In Tongues, which was recorded in Athens, Georgia and in their home studio in Deland, Florida and was released Aug. 19. Utah-based rock band Desert Noises is in the middle of an extensive fall tour in support of their acclaimed label debut 27 Ways, which also has them on the road with The Wild Feathers and The Apache Relay. The band released a new live clip for their track for “Out Of My Head”, which will give you a taste of what their live performances are like and why people are paying attention. [JMo]
