[No Country Premiere] Stream Brandy Zdan’s New Single “Back On You”

We were super into the first song from Brandy Zdan’s upcoming self-titled debut album, which we told you about a few months ago, and now we’re excited and honored to be premiering her new single “Back On You” right here on No Country. Now based in Nashville via Austin (and her native Canada before that), the singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has three solo EP’s under her belt, along with albums from her time in Twilight Hotel and The Trishas, but this is technically her first full-length album as a solo artist with a brand new sound away from her Americana/folk roots.

“Back On You” starts out mid-tempo with a simple guitar line and layered, dreamy vocals, but packs a punch in the chorus with a twangy guitar riff and a catchy drum beat, further solidifying her knack for writing and playing in the indie-rock/pop style. While the album doesn’t officially drop until November 17, a new song will be released every Tuesday leading up to album release week, and you’ll be able to download them for free from her Soundcloud page.
