Daddy Issues-620

Local rockers Daddy Issues have had an interesting path into the spotlight.  Unlike many Nashville outfits, they have not been honing their skills for years with extensive familial pedigrees.  They only decided to try to write music a little over a year ago, and then had to teach themselves how to play instruments.  However, one of their singles, “Ugly When I Cry”, caught the ear of local tastemaking label, Infinity Cat, and a few months later they find themselves a showcased SXSW artist.  Now, the band is releasing their album, Can We Still Hang, through the Casey Weissbuch curated 2nd Annual Infinity Cat Cassette Series on June 30th.  The first single “The Bruise” just dropped, and you can stream some of those delicious pop grunge jams below.

A cassette release show will be happening at Two Boots on July 3rd, and we have another little treat in the works for Daddy Issues fans later this summer.  In the meantime, get in the know on what could be the next fast tracked female fronted rock outfit in town.
