Nonstop show announcements, tons of continued Bonnaroo coverage, festival announcements, exclusive premieres, song and videos releases, and tons more made for a very busy week. Can you tell that spring show season is in full swing? In case you missed anything, and we wouldn’t blame you if you did, here’s a recap of everything we covered last week on the site:

  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: Wildfront, Morgan Bosman, and Femke | Tuesday, April 28 at Acme Feed & Seed
  • NEWS: New venue The Basement East announced Caitlin Rose, Fly Golden Eagle, Sol Cat and tons more for its 2015 Mayday Fest.
  • NEWS: Art rockers Man Man announced a June show at Mercy Lounge.
  • NEWS: James Bay announced his headlining Nashville debut this summer at Marathon Music Works!
  • NEWS: Earl Sweatshirt postponed his planned May 6 show at Marathon Music Works.
  • NEWS: Birmingham’s Secret Stages announced the dates for its 5th anniversary and its initial round of 2015 artists!
  • NEWS: The newly named downtown “Ascend Amphitheater” announced its packed inaugural season!
  • NEWS: Major Lazer, Zeds Dead, and more were announced to perform at this year’s Mad Decent Block Party at the Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater.
  • NEWS: Willie Nelson, Weezer, and were announced to perform at the inaugural Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin, TN.
  • NEWS: SoCal punks Social Distortion announced a 25th anniversary show for their self-titled album The Ryman with Nikki Lane.
  • NEWS: Canadian hardcore outfit Fucked Up announced a Third Man show as part of their special Zodiac tour.
  • NEWS: mewithoutYou announced a summer return to Mercy Lounge in support of their new album.
  • NEWS: Dwight Yoakam added a second night to his stop at The Ryman this September.

  • SHOW: The Basement East officially opened with five straight nights of  incredible shows.
  • SHOW: Pokey LaFarge performed at Mercy Lounge in celebration for his seventh album, Something in the Water.
  • SHOW: Liz Longley and Brian Wright performed at City Winery.
  • RELEASE: Butch Walker covered Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” ahead of his War Memorial Auditorium performance.
  • RELEASE: New local group XPLOR released their debut single “Heartbreak.”
  • RELEASE: Local folksters Wilder dropped a new EP, with lead single  “Tomorrow.”
  • RELEASE: Willie and the Giant released their self-titled debut album.
  • RELEASE: Omega Swan premiered “Hate Love” from their upcoming EP, Found.
  • RELEASE: Local rap crew Hot Tub Club released a free new EP titled Spring Break Forever.
  • VIDEO: Local singer-songwriter Seth Wood premiered a new video shot entirely on VHS. 
  • VIDEO: Natalie Prass performed two songs on Last Call Carson Daly, ahead of four shows in Nashville.
  • VIDEO: Pop duo Tennis premiered a video for “Mean Streets” ahead of their show next month at The High Watt.
  • VIDEO: Local songstress Liza Anne premiered new video for “Take It Back.”
  • VIDEO: Fall Out Boy premiered a new video for “Uma Thurman” ahead of their summer show at Bridgestone Arena.
  • VIDEO: Local rockers Daisyhead dropped a music video for the title track from their debut LP, “The Smallest Light.”
  • VIDEO: Tame Impala performed “Let It Happen” on Conan ahead of their upcoming show at The Ryman.
  • VIDEO: Local electro rockers Fives Knives dropped a video for new single “Savages.”
  • VIDEO: Nashville’s own Natalie Prass performed her single “Birds of Prey” on Later… with Jools Holland.
  • VIDEO: JEFF the Brotherhood premiered a video “Black Cherry Pie,” from their latest LP, Wasted on a Dream.
  • VIDEO: Local singer Sam Lewis released a video for each of the 12 songs off of his new album, ahead of its release show.
  • VIDEO: Sturgill Simpson performed “Just Let Go” on Conan in between Coachella shows.
  • VIDEO: We exclusively premiered Yumi and the System‘s artsy new music video for “The Garden.”
