Nashville six-piece Kopeck Family Band shortened their name to simply Kopecky. Considering “family band” acts trend on the folksier side, we think this was a perfect move for them. The change comes alongside the announcement of their second album, Drug for the Modern Age, out May 19 on ATO Records. Their new single “Quarterback” sports beefier guitars and percussion that really smacks, but the vocals retain the layered charm and catchiness of their previous release. Scope the track ahead of their defacto release party on May 19th at The Basement. We’ll keep you posted when tickets go on sale.
