Early yesterday, Moogfest (by way of Pitchfork) announced the headliners and first round of artists for the 5-day electronic innovator’s convention and music festival in Asheville, April 23-27. First and foremost, Moogfest managed to wrangle in Kraftwerk, who will perform their 3-D experience not once, but three times during the festival. Also, as we had expected from the speaker lineup announcement, there will definitely be some crossover. Experimental performance artist Laurie Anderson and disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder (both speakers) will headline, along with popular 70s disco R&B band CHIC feat. legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers.

We’ve been anticipating the caliber of this lineup since we found out Moogfest would be returning, but even more so when we discovered the music showcases curated by labels such as WARP Records, DFA, Fool’s Gold, Ghostly International, Crew Love, and others. So here it goes: below you have the first round of artists announced for Moogfest 2014.

ADULT., Art Department, Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks, Bottin, Daedelus, Dan Deacon, Darkstar, Erika, Escort, The Gaslamp Killer, Green Velvet, Kaytranada, Keith Kemp, Lapalux, Le1f, Les Sins, Mark Farina, Mike Simonetti, Nick Monaco, No Regular Play, RJD2, Sasha, Shigeto, Slow Hands, Soul Clap, TOKiMONSTA, Two Fresh, Wolf Eyes
