Billed as “a celebration of Mid-Century American music, culture and style,” the annual Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender, which takes place this weekend, Thursday, May 23 through Sunday, May 26 at the Opryland Resort as well as nearby long-running honky tonk the Nashville Palace, was founded only a few years back by the folks behind Muddy Roots, but has, already, become a beloved local musical and cultural institution.

In addition to four days of music at Nashville Palace and Opry, with a huge and impressive lineup of rockabilly, doo-wop, soul, rock, rhythm & blues, country & western, pop, and various acts both legendary and contemporary, covering the gamut of retro American music, like The B-52’s, Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes, JD McPherson, Wanda Jackson, Linda Gail Lewis, The Cactus Blossoms, Los Straightjackets, Nikki Hill, Marcel Bontempi, Deke Dickerson, The Country Side of Harmonica Sam, The Surfrajettes, The Hillbilly Casino, The Planet Rockers, The Hi-Jivers, and more more, Nashville Boogie also boasts an outdoor car show, record hop, western fashion show, record convention, pool parties, pinup pageant, vintage slide show, and huge vintage vendor hall!

Tickets for the event are available in a variety of levels, from a full weekend pass to single-day options, all right here. Most of the bigger performers like The B-52’s are scheduled to close things out on Sunday, so if you’re mainly attracted to the musical aspect and trying to be thirty, a Sunday ticket is the movie, however if you have the time and budget to check out the entire event, it’s a genuine blast and we couldn’t recommend it more, especially since it’s in such an easy to navigate and low-key part of town. (Another great tip: you can park for free at the mall, and the vendor market is open free to the public.)

You can find out more about Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender right here, check out the full lineup here, scope out the full schedule with times and venue info here, and, of course, don’t forget to snag your tickets while they last! Finally, preview just a handful of the dozens upon dozens of performers below.

Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender will take place May 23-26 at Opryland Resort and Nashville Palace. The event runs Thursday evening and all day throughout the weekend (schedule here), is all ages, and tickets are available to purchase for $25-135.
