We’ve already given you the heads up on local rock legend Jack White‘s newest solo offering Boarding House Reach, which officially arrived last Friday, March 23, as well as the surprise recent shows at his own Third Man Records in support, and this morning’s news that he’ll headline Franklin’s Pilgrimage Festival later this year. With all of the hype surrounding the new record, it would be easy to overlook that White also dropped a new music video for the track “Over and Over and Over” the same day as the LP. The highly stylized spot is classic Jack; focusing on the monochromatic color combinations of blue, white, and black. Sticking to his trademark Tim Burton-esque weirdness, the visuals reminded us of a haunted funhouse on acid, with trippy little kids running around in vintage halloween masks, an elderly interpretation of himself sitting with his current self, and random people laid out in the sand wearing blue fatigues.

With an incredible number of collaborators, drawing experience from a vast array of genres, this record is quite something to behold, and we highly recommend you dive into it deeply if you haven’t already. If you were lucky enough to snag a spot at his recent Nashville shows, which sold out pretty much instantly, than you know first hand that the new stuff truly is charting new territory for an already incredibly exploratory musician. For those of you who missed out on the Third Man dates, you also have a chance to catch the esteemed performer at Memphis In May and Atlanta’s Shaky Knees, both ahead of Pilgrimage. Though a proper Nashville headliner could be announced, it remains to be seen if a radius clause might push that likelihood into 2019. Until then, watch Jack’s new video below!
