JD-McPherson-620

Two years ago, retro-inspired rock and roller JD McPherson took the stage at Nashville’s own Mercy Lounge for a night to remember. Now, he’s returning to the Music City in support of his latest LP, Undivided Heart & Soul. On Nov. 18, McPherson’s bringing along entrancing singer-songwriter Dylan Pratt, who also acted as support on his 2015 date, to a can’t-miss show at The Basement East. If you’ve missed out on JD’s stellar live performances, you can snag your tickets right here, and we’re also excited to announce that we’re giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan! Keep reading to find out more about the lineup and enter below!

JD MCPHERSON

In 2012, JD McPherson earned buzz and acclaim for his debut album Signs and Signifiers, which featured a old school rock and roll sound that was far removed from the indie rock and folk-pop that then dominated the charts. Although he takes plenty of cues from the greats before him, McPherson is far from a cover artist. The former art teacher and Oklahoma native cites influences that range from Fats Domino to the Pixies. 2015’s Let the Good Times Roll evolved his sound even further with R&B and soul elements. Just last month, he dropped his third studio album Undivided Heart & Soul via New West Records. On his latest LP, McPherson strips things down and returns to the rockabilly roots that originally catapulted his career. Check out his headlining show to hear some of his newest cuts along with some old favorites.

DYLAN PRATT

Singer-songwriter Dylan Pratt started his musical career by playing with his band In Symmetry in Phoenix, Arizona. After honing his sound, he moved to Seattle to try his hand at a solo career. Now based out of Tempe, Pratt’s voice has a haunting tone that powers his reflective and insightful lyrics. He landed his record deal while on tour with longtime friend  JD McPherson back in 2015, and things have only gone up since. Earlier this year, he dropped his debut LP Limbo, which traces back his long journey of personal discovery and musical growth.
