Tristen-2017-620

Riding high on the early acclaim of her third full-length Sneaker Waves, which dropped July 7 via Modern Outsider Records, beloved East Nashville indie songwriter Tristen will perform tonight, July 13 at American Legion Post 82 along with a stacked cast of locals in support, for a special evening dubbed “Tristen the Night Away.”  We already shared the undeniably catchy lead single, “Glass Jar,” which featured backup vocals from Jenny Lewis as the record was announced, and Tristen recently followed that with a video for “Got Some,” packed with local talent. The spot was reportedly directed during an actual slumber party hosted by Tristen and her musician friends (LG of Thelma & The Sleaze, Caitlin Rose, Nikki Darlin, and Shelly Colvin) playing out the age old party tropes, complete with singing into brushes, dancing, pillow fights, all the while a love struck suitor trying to get through on the phone.

You can watch the vibey pop gem below, and then make sure you head out to the American Legion Post 82 tonight for the official Sneaker Waves release party featuring a special night of music and comedy, hosted by Chris Crofton and featuring appearances from Caitlin Rose, Jessi Zazu, Birdcloud, Cortney Tidwell, Vanessa Carlton, Jessica Lea Mayfield, PUJOL, Kate York, Emily West, Quichenight, Justin Collins, Erin Rae and Pete Lindberg, and Thelma & the Sleaze, who will perform their own songs backed by Tristen and band. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. (doors at 7:30 p.m.), and tickets are sold out online, but will be available at the door in limited quantities- don’t be late!
