In an effort to always keep you updated on the best local talent, we’ve got some big news from poppy, post-punk flavored singer-songwriter Jacob Disedare. You may recognize his work from previous posts, but now the local transplant is poised to release his new full-length, entitled How to Stop, this Friday, June 23. Even cooler news? You don’t have to wait that long to enjoy the record, because we’re exclusively streaming it three days early!

The LP is being released through local indie taste makers Cold Lunch Recordings, and it has distilled Jacob’s eerie, uniquely grunge tinged sound. It is incredibly well-crafted for an artist who’s fairly up-and-coming (at least as a solo act), and has a razor sharp focus, with no frills or window dressing to distract from his singular talent. Of course you don’t have to take our word for it, because after the jump you can stream all ten tracks a few days before they’re available everywhere.

After a few listens, if you simply can’t get enough of Mr. Disedare, you can also check out his prior work with Fur on Fur and Ghost Foot. Stay tuned for more information on local perfromances, and, as always, help support the Nashville rock scene by spreading the word!

This post was slightly incomplete without mention of Riverwolves — I think most closely fitting to his solo venture! That said, here’s a rad Ghost Foot live session we did several years ago and hopefully be getting the solo and Fur On Fur sessions next tour! http://halfstopsessions.com/sessions/ghost-foot/
