We’ve been on the bandwagon for local folky, psychedelic rockers Liz Cooper & The Stampede since they blew the roof off our Acme Feed & Seed showcase a year and a half ago, and we’ve been checking in with them ever since. When we heard they’d recently shot a new live performance, this one as part of the East Nashville Sessions series launched by Doghaus Productions, we couldn’t wait to see the finished product- and we’re even more excited to bring you an exclusive premiere of the spot!
After the jump, you can check out live videos for tracks “Mountain Man” and “Fondly and Forever,” shot on the patio at The Pub at The Basement East. It’s a little bit of a different take for the powerhouse group, with Liz pickin’ up a storm on acoustic guitar instead shredding on electric, per usual. Filming at night and outdoors may have been a factor too, but regardless, the aesthetic works well, and the band rock just as hard, albeit with a little folk tinge.
More exciting news? You can catch The Stampede live this Friday, June 9 for free at Musicians Corner‘s Acoustic Night in Centennial Park. But, for now, enjoy the new live videos for “Mountain Man” and “Fondly and Forever” below!
