‘Tis the season… for festival announcements! We just told you yesterday that Alabama’s Hangout Fest surprise announced its stacked 2017 lineup, early last month Knoxville’s Big Ears unveiled what’ll be one of the first happenings of the season, and, of course, a few other further away events like Florida’s Okeechobee and new South Carolina fest High Water were early to the party as well.

Following a new earlier timeline begun last year, Louisville’s Forecastle Fest is also prepping to get a jump on 2017, which is especially impressive because the fest doesn’t take place until July 14-16. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the immaculately well-curated and always fantastic regional event grew from humble beginnings, earning accolades in recent years as one of the best summer fests in the nation. We’ve had a great time at Forecastle over the past several years, and you can revisit our most recent trek to Louisville in our full review of this summer’s event.

The initial Forecastle 2017 lineup is set to drop this Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. CST, and tickets will go on sale immediately thereafter. Until then, you can enter for a chance to win a pair of VIP wristbands right here, and relive the magic of last year’s event below!
