Memphis bred and now Franklin based musical superstar Justin Timberlake, who recently joined Pilgrimage Fest as a partner and producer, spent the bulk of the past few years touring in support of his epic 2013 double album, The 20/20 Experience. We caught and loved his second stop in Nashville over the course of the run, naming it one of the best performances of 2014. A tour so big practically demands some sort of documentation, and fortunately that’s finally on the way, in the form of new concert film Justin Timberlake and The Tennessee Kids, slated to debut on Netflix Oct. 12. Set to premiere this week at the Toronto International Film Festival before heading to the streaming giant, the film was directed by Oscar winner Jonathan Demme, and filmed at a stop in Las Vegas. An acclaimed actor, clothing designer, and producer, in addition to his illustrious music career, Timberlake is a once in a generation talent, and one we’re proud to now call a local; discover or revisit one of our favorite arena tours in recent years when it premieres next month on Netflix!
