Watch Third Man Records Play A Record In Space

As we told you last week, Third Man Records celebrated their 7th anniversary by being a part of a team that would attempt to play the first record in space.  Mission accomplished!  The custom built record player, dubbed The Icarus Craft, was launched into space using a high altitude weather balloon, and spun a 12-inch gold plated master of Carl Sagan’s “A Glorious Dawn” until the balloon ruptured at an altitude of 94,410 feet above the earth.  If you want to start your week off with a dose of awesome, you can check out the full one hour plus video of the flight here, or, if you are pressed for time, head below to watch a condensed five minute recap video.
