Steven Tyler may have one of the most iconic voices in rock history based on his body of work as the songwriter and charismatic frontman of Aerosmith.  The celebrated rocker is at least in part responsible for 9 #1 hits, 25 gold, 18 platinum, and 12 multi-platinum certified records, and a littany of awards.  Of late, he has been focusing his attention on his a solo record of country tracks, and, of course, his first solo single “Love Is Your Name” hit #1 on the Billboard Country Streaming charts.

Tyler is now on tour in support of the new project, and his …Out On A Limb tour will roll through Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Aug. 17, with local group Loving Mary serving as his backing band.  Tickets will range from $65 to $165, and will go on sale Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. CDT.  If you are concerned that this show isn’t going to contain a serious helping of Aerosmith, you might be surprised.  We tentatively thought the same when we caught him at Pilgrimage last summer, and he wowed with a fantastic set that was chock full of singalong hits.  Head below to hear the new solo single “Red, White, and You” below, but feel free to dig into back catalogue mega-hits, if you are feeling more nostalgic.
