Road To Bonnaroo 2016

This year’s Road to Roo competition, different from the similar “Road to Bonnaroo” competition of years past, kicked off last night with the first half of the first round of performers, of which four will advance to the semifinals: OJR, Heavy Sole, Jess Nolan and Roots of a Rebellion, selected by a combination of fan voting and industry judges.

Four out of eight more artists will be chosen at Acme on March 10, and the eight total finalists from both nights will advance to the Nashville semifinals on March 16 at Exit/In and on March 22 at The Basement East, then four winners from those events will perform in the Nashville finals at 3rd & Lindsley on March 31.  The Nashville winner will then face off with other Tennessee regional winners in the state finals at Mercy Lounge on April 4 at 9 p.m., where, finally, a winner will earn a spot at ‘Roo. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming events contest and congratulations to the first bands to advance!
