Another fantastic Tuesday night at The High Watt is upon us, with a great lineup of fantastic local bands! Electro rock weirdos DEDSA will headline the night with the fuzzy garage pop of Mom and Dad and the post-pop of Lavender lending their support. Don’t miss this great show TONIGHT, Feb. 23! Things get started at 9 p.m., admission is 18+, and tickets are a mere $7. Read on for more info about all the bands.

DEDSA

You may have heard DEDSA during their stint as Lightning 100’s Artist of the Week back in July, or you may have caught them when we brought you the dragon animated official video for their single “Lighter Click”. If you missed both those happenings, be sure to come check them out tonight, as this is not a local band you want to ignore for too long. Simultaneously catchy, crunchy and strange, they’ve got a great live show to back up their impressively imaginative recorded music. Come out tonight and see for yourself!

MOM AND DAD

Our absolute favorite loud, gritty, lo-fi art-pop band, it’s always a true pleasure to see Mom and Dad on a bill. They were just a part of Thelma & The Sleaze’s intra-city February tour of Nashville, joining the madness during Night Two at New Life Record Shop. They also just released a new single, “Life at the Opera”, off an upcoming EP Which?? to be released on band member Zach Prosser’s label, Bartertown Co-Op. It’s been embedded below in all it’s dreamy glory for your convenience. Check it out, and don’t miss the band’s characteristically high-energy live show tonight!

LAVENDER

Lavender is the new(ish) post-pop moniker for visual artist Ann Catherine Carter. She just released her debut full-length Green Eyeshade on cassette last week. Check it out below and grab a physical copy at the show!

DEDSA, Mom and Dad, and Lavender will perform Tues. Feb. 23 at The High Watt. The show is 18+, begins at 9pm (doors at 8pm), and tickets are available for $7.
